- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the content that they teach.
- Illustrates that they develop both long & daily plans plans for their classes that also correlate with district / state standards.
- Utilizes a variety of instructional strategies as well as resources to engage students & promote understanding.
- Assesses student understanding and also provides feedback to students, while also utilizing that knowledge to inform future / further instruction.
- Creates & fosters a positive classroom climate that keeps everyone happy, learning & behaving properly.
- Understands & works with a wide variety of student diversity (i.e. cultural & special needs).
- Verifies that they are indeed a lifelong learner who seeks opportunities to reflect and strengthen their abilities.
- Interacts professionally with all others (staff, students, parents, etc.) in promoting their students and the school (2010).
